“Welcome to Bright Star Childminding!”
Where every child is safe, happy, and inspired to learn.
Thank you for choosing Bright Star. We are delighted to welcome your family into our setting. Our goal is to provide a "home away from home" - a cozy, nurturing environment where your child feels secure enough to explore, take risks, and reach their full potential.
A secure, safe and happy childhood is important in its own right and it provides the foundation for children to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up.
We are passionate about creating a friendly environment where the children can enjoy playing and busy themselves with plenty of activities, free play and much more.
Our Aim: We aim to work in partnership with our parents through the structure of our key worker development programme. This programme enables keyworkers to carefully monitor the development of children within their care, by completing daily diaries, development record sheets and liaising on a regular basis with parents.
This encourages each child to progress to his or her full potential in a warm, secure and caring environment.
I have over 20 years of experience running my own childcare business and a lifelong passion for helping children grow into "happy little people." I am happily married with two lovely grown up boys!
My Qualifications:
Level 5 Diploma: Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children & Young People).
Level 3: Early Years & Education.
Specialist Experience: I have extensive experience supporting children with additional needs, including ADHD, Autism, Global Development Delay, and complex medical requirements.
I am committed to Continuous Professional Development, ensuring my setting always exceeds the latest legislation and childcare standards.
Previous to childcare, I worked within the care sector for 11 years, many of those at management level where I gained vast amounts of experience dealing with a wide range of individual needs.
We believe a happy childhood is the foundation for a successful life. We balance homely comfort with structured learning to ensure your child is consistently challenged and supported.
Partnership: We work closely with you. Through our Key Worker Development Programme, we monitor your child’s progress using daily diaries and development records.
Environment: A mix of free play and planned activities designed to build confidence, social skills, and a positive "can-do" attitude.

The first day is a big milestone! It’s natural to feel a mix of emotions. To help us make it as smooth as possible, please bring a small bag containing:
Essentials: Nappies, wipes, and any required creams.
Comfort: Soothers (dummy, favorite blanket/snuggle toy) and a water cup/bottle.
Clothing: A full change of clothes (labeled, please!) and weather-appropriate outdoor gear.
Nutrition: Formula or breast milk, and any specific food if you are providing your own.
A Note on Farewells: Experience has taught me that a short, confident departure is best. If there are tears, please don't worry—they usually stop the moment you are out of sight! We will always send you a quick text or call to put your mind at rest.
Ready To Start Your Child's Bright Star Moment!
