Failure to collect your child on time (after 6pm) will incur a charge of £5.00 for the first fifteen minutes, then £5.00 for every subsequent five minutes or part thereof.
Failure to inform us of late collection will result in us following our late collection policy.
It is very important to adhere to your contracted hours at all times, as late pick ups and early drop offs affect our ratios. We do appreciate that there are times when unforeseeable circumstances arise and you are therefore unable to collect your child on time. If this situation does arise then Irene should be contacted as soon as possible. The charge for this will be added to your bill.
If you are having a problem paying your bill please speak to Irene and we may be able to agree a payment plan. Failure to pay fees will result in withdrawal of your child’s space with immediate effect. Your details may then be passed onto our collection agency.
In the unlikely event of a child being uncollected, we would first contact the person responsible for collecting the child.
Then we would take the following steps:
Contact the child’s parent / guardian using the house phone, mobile or work number.
Continue to try contacting parents/guardians
Check no messages have been left at Bright Star Childminding from the parent to inform us of reasons for the uncollected child.
Contact other named persons on the child’s contact list.
If a child has not been collected by 6.30pm, social services will be called to collect your child.
Children will not be allowed to leave the premises with an unauthorised person. Staff have an obligation to stay with children until they are collected. A fee will be charged for late collection which will be put in force if parents are late more than once. A written record will be kept on file.
